10 Top Tips to help QUIT

Set a quit date and stick to it.
Keep busy to avoid thinking about cigarettes.
Speak to your GP/pharmacist about Nicotine Replacement Therapy, for example gum, patches, Champix or Zyban.
Throw out all cigarettes and ashtrays.
Tell others that you’re giving up and ask for their support.
You may experience some side effects; feeling irritable and lacking concentration are common but are short-lived!
Take one day at a time without cigarettes.
Change your normal routine - avoid pubs, clubs and smoking rooms at work.
Plan regular treats to reward yourself. YOU DESERVE IT!
Use National Smokers helplines, ie the NHS Smoking Helpline
